In September 2024, China's flake graphite export volume was 5943.384 tons, a decrease of 13.15% month-on-month, the total export value was 5515121 US dollars, and the average export price was 927.94 US dollars / ton, an increase of 10.47% month-on-month. The cumulative export volume from January to September 2024 was 44,000 tons, a decrease of 13,600 tons or 23.65% from the same period last year.

2. Influencing factors

Imports: Imports in September decreased by 93.33% month-on-month, mainly from Madagascar. In September, the domestic demand for flake graphite was weak, and there was still domestic inventory to be consumed, and the demand for imports decreased sharply.

Exports: Exports in September decreased by 13.15% month-on-month, mainly to Japan, Korea, United States and other countries. Foreign orders were relatively stable, and the export volume did not change much.

In September 2024, China's flake graphite exports by production and marketing country ranked the top five: Japan, Korea, United States, Iran and Germany. The sum of the exports of these five countries was 3,981.67 tons, accounting for about 66.98% of the total export volume of the month.
